Hawaii surfing lessons for women is dedicated to providing a safe environment for each student. We want this to be a safe, fun, and memorable Hawaii water sport experience.

Teaching women is one of our favorite offerings. The fact that I am a woman, I can more easily relate to how women learn and what type of instruction we respond to best. It’s really important to choose your instructor wisely. I know that when I was deeply involved in my surfing instruction career, the photo of me on my Hawaii surfing brochure brought me more women than men. My instruction was always patient and friendly. I never yelled and taught each Hawaii surfing student with the kindness and compassion that I would have wanted.

If you really want to advance your surfing skills, or just get the attention you deserve, it’s well worth it to spend a bit more money and take a private lesson. Make sure you have a patient and friendly instructor and the correct size board. Don’t let them put you on anything that is too small, because it won’t float you and you’ll have difficulties catching the wave and then once you do catch it, you’ll have a problem getting up and staying up.
Each lesson is adapted to the ability of each woman and safety is first and foremost. The oldest woman I ever taught was well into her 80’s. She stood up on the second wave, rode 3 more and said she had accomplished a dream of a lifetime.

Hawaii is the perfect spot to learn to surf and since our instructors can get you up on the board and surfing in just one lesson, it’s really amazing to see just how well you’ll be able to do.
